Geoffrey Zawacki

Geoff is our project manager for southern Louisiana and lives with his wife Cori in New Orleans. After graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2001, he spent 6 years in the automotive industry gaining experience in product design and development, manufacturing, and project management.

While helping his wife Cori, a Tulane professor, with her research on frog and turtle conservation in Panama, Geoff decided to shift his career focus to sustainability and energy efficiency. Geoff completed a Professional Program in Sustainable Design at the University of California, Berkeley in 2008, plus additional education in building science and renewable energy. His strengths include evaluating project requirements, solving problems creatively, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, skilled trades and product manufacturers. His experience also includes residential and commercial energy modeling and analysis, field performance testing, and energy rating. Geoff is a LEED Accredited Professional through the US Green Building Council and a certified RESNET Home Energy Rater.

When not at work trying to save the built environment, Geoff enjoys playing soccer, mountain biking, skiing, and traveling.
