LEED for Homes/ New Orleans

 

Carsie A. Hall, III, PhD, CEM, CIAQP

Carsie has over ten years experience performing energy audits on residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. His expertise covers all aspects of energy management, including HVAC, lighting, building enclosure, and service hot water systems. Carsie is a certified specialist in energy management, indoor air quality, and home energy ratings (HERS).

As a green energy rater (HERS rater), he is currently facilitating the LEED for Homes program on single-family homes and multi-family projects in New Orleans. Carsie has performed building energy use modeling for LEED-NC projects in Washington, DC and energy audit projects for K-12 schools in New Orleans.

As an educator, Carsie has taught workshops on energy management domestically and internationally and has taught courses in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, HVAC design, energy management, and fluid flow systems at the University of New Orleans for 11 years.

Carsie received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University in 1998 and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995.
